DIY Workshop: Coffee Tasting & Brewing Basics

When: Tuesday September 25, 6:30 pm

Join Debra Hoffos, self-proclaimed “coffee snob,” for a hands-on, practical and fun workshop all about coffee. Although coffee is serious business, Debra’s approach allows everyone attending to ask questions and participate. Learn some coffee basics and sample three different roasts. Try your hand at three methods to brew great coffee at home: ChemEx, French Press and Pour-Over.

$8 per person. Advance registration is required. Please stop by either branch to sign up.

DIY Workshop: Herb Terrariums

Where: Fleming Branch, Beamsville

Join Erin Riseing to learn how to preserve your fresh herbs and bring them indoors for the winter. You will also make an attractive herb terrarium to enjoy fresh flavours year-round. All materials are provided. Presented in partnership with Niagara West Community Gardens. $5; registration required.

DIY Workshop: Tea Tasting Seminar

Come join us for a seminar all about tea! We discuss the history and origin of tea, tea types, tasting techniques and flavour profiles. Sample over 20 types of loose-leaf tea in this interactive seminar. Led by James Cadeau, professional tea sommelier. $12; registration required.
