Wild and Free: Foraging 101

Foraging is searching for wild ingredients. Here in Niagara, we are surrounded by many wild edibles that you might not know about, such as dandelions and morel mushrooms. Learn more by watching our Backyard Foraging video with Britney Condotta of Cul.ti.vate Niagara on the library’s YouTube channel.

Be sure to do your research and only forage in areas you have permission to do so in, and only take what you need.

Here are some recommended reads to learn more about foraging, available with your library card.
